Barrier-free

The UFO Observation Tower opened in 1973. Back then, society was not as open to people with disabilities as it is today. The public was not aware of the needs of people with disabilities in their daily lives, and contractors, builders, and architects did not account for them in their designs.

However, our company has managed to make the Bar and Restaurant areas accessible to immobile guests, allowing them to enjoy a complete experience. The observation deck, reached by 30 steps, and the toilets, however, are not accessible for wheelchairs.

Getting to us

No need for a map when visiting the UFO Observation Tower. Just look over the Danube and you surely find your way to us.

If coming by car, follow the one-way Viedenská Street, which, with the UFO parking information board, will lead you to the left-hand turning leading to the Danube. Parking at the reception is free for 2 hours for all visitors to the Observation Tower.

If using public transport, follow the nearest stops. Most SNP or Pri sade are both a few minutes’ walk away.

If you have decided to explore Bratislava on your own, getting to the UFO Tower from the Old Town takes a few minutes, and is a beautiful walk across the SNP Bridge over the Danube..
